Chemical firm fined in double prosecution

Chemicals manufacturer Nipa Laboratories has been prosecuted successfully by the National Rivers Authority (NRA) and HM Inspectorate of Pollution (HMIP) after an effluent leak from its Pontypridd site polluted a stream. Nipa has also been in trouble with HMIP over effluent problems at a site in Lancashire.
