Catalytic process unveiled for aromatic, coloured effluents

A catalytic oxidation process for end-of-pipe destruction of toxic aromatics in effluent has been developed by waste treatment business Lanstar and High Force Research. The process can also remove colour and odour from effluents, but a question-mark hangs over its cost-effectiveness until trials are carried out on a commercial scale.
