Drinking water quality improves despite the drought
Drinking water quality in England and Wales improved in 1995 for the third year running, according to the latest annual report of the Drinking Water Inspectorate (DWI).1 The drought and record demand for water caused some deterioration in quality, but did not dent the improving trend.
