Environment Agency seeks new powers on water resources
The House of Commons Environment Committee's inquiry into water conservation and supply ended in July with the publication of an interim report.1 But the most interesting contribution came from the Environment Agency which submitted supplementary evidence calling for extensive new powers over water companies.
