New inquiries on cement industry, contaminated land

The cement industry is facing renewed parliamentary scrutiny following a decision by the House of Commons Environment Committee to carry out a short inquiry in the autumn on the environmental impacts of cement manufacture. The Committee also intends to resuscitate its delayed inquiry on contaminated land.
