Environmental health plan fails to satisfy critics

The UK environmental health action plan, published in July, has added little to a draft which attracted widespread criticism last summer.1 But targets and timetables for reducing some environment-related health impacts may arrive in a consultation paper this autumn following the Government's decision to designate the environment as a "key area" in its "Health of the Nation" strategy.
