Rhone-Poulenc's acid leak leads to record IPC fine
Chemical manufacturer Rhone-Poulenc has been fined £50,000 for a release of sulphur trioxide from its Staveley works in Derbyshire. The fine is the highest yet for an offence under integrated pollution control (IPC).
