Record fine, community service for waste offenders
A road haulage company which dumped 3,000 tonnes of waste illegally in Surrey has been hit by what appears to be a record fine for a waste offence in Britain. Among other recent waste prosecutions brought by the Environment Agency, two Leeds men were given 240 hours community service for a large-scale fly-tipping operation.
