ISO under fire over environmental standards

Environmental groups, developing countries and small businesses all complained in September about their effective exclusion from negotiations on environmental standards drawn up by the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO). As ISO standards on a wide range of environmental issues begin to roll off the press, questions are being asked about their legitimacy, likely influence and potential to mislead consumers.
