Du Pont outlines plans to curb nylon N<SUB>2</SUB>O emission

US chemical giant Du Pont has released plans to curb emissions of the potent greenhouse gas nitrous oxide (N2O) from its adipic acid plant on Teesside. The release from the process has a global warming impact equivalent to over 3% of the UK's entire carbon dioxide emissions - but moves to fit abatement equipment have been delayed by Du Pont's abortive attempt to shut the plant.
