Sweden pushes for phase-out of oestrogens in pesticides

UK pesticide producers were warned in September that they may have to reformulate substantial numbers of their products if a move to phase out octyl and nonyl phenols (OP/NPs) and phenol ethoxylates (OPE/NPEs) in Europe succeeds. Sweden is expected to call for the ban at a Paris Commission meeting ending early in October.
