DoE clarifies waste import rules, allows in Irish clinical wastes

Proposals to allow Ireland to export clinical wastes to the UK for incineration were issued by the Department of the Environment (DoE) on 29 October.1 The DoE has also been forced to clarify the national plan on trade in waste to prevent operators of clinical and municipal waste incinerators importing chemical wastes.
