HMIP develops new measures to monitor impact of IPC
A study by HM Inspectorate of Pollution (HMIP) has suggested that there has been a steady increase in the number of conditions which will require long-term environmental improvements from processes subject to integrated pollution control (IPC). The work is likely to be extended to forecast trends in releases from regulated processes, and is part of a growing effort by HMIP to develop measures of its role in improving the environment.
