NRA discovers "new" pesticide polluting groundwaters

Widespread groundwater contamination by a commonly used herbicide, bentazone, has been overlooked by the National Rivers Authority (NRA) and water companies for many years. The discovery comes as evidence mounts that the approved agricultural use of some pesticides poses a threat to aquifers and drinking water supplies.
