Government falls behind in energy efficiency drive

Most Government Departments are off course to meet their target of improving energy efficiency by 15% in the five years ending 1995/6. A parliamentary answer from Environment Minister Robert Jones has revealed that the overall improvement after three years was 6% - and most of this was contributed by the Ministry of Defence.1
