High Court ruling on air pollution offence

The High Court has given what appears to be the first ruling on provisions contained in the Clean Air Act 1993. The case concerns a fairly narrow point of interpretation, but the decision will strengthen the hand of environmental health officers dealing with local air pollution problems.
