EC guide published on LCAs for eco-labelling

A guide to conducting life-cycle assessments (LCA) for eco-labelling purposes has been published by the European Commission.1 It says that the science of LCA cannot be expected to put values on the relative environmental impact of different pollutants - and that this must be left to the political decision-making process.
