Tax incentives for cleaner cars but little else on VOCs
New fiscal measures to promote sales of less polluting vehicles are under active official consideration, according to the Government's response to the recent report on volatile organic compounds (VOCs) by the House of Commons Environment Committee. But apart from some tinkering at the margins with controls on VOC emissions from industry, the Government has accepted few of the Committee's recommendations.
