CFC substitutes may threaten wetland wildlife
New question-marks about the environmental safety of three CFC replacements have been raised by US scientists. Their analysis suggests that fall-out of a breakdown product of two HCFCs and HFC-134a may reach toxic levels in some wetlands within a few decades.1
