BS7750 impedes greening of supply chain, says B&Q
DIY retailer B&Q, one of the pioneers in greening the corporate supply chain, has decided not to make certification to the environmental management standard BS7750 a prerequisite for its suppliers. Only a handful of its "greenest" suppliers are planning to obtain certification, and the company says that implementing BS7750 is proving a distraction from real environmental improvements.
