Dutch move on VOC controls may spur EC action
The Dutch Government has notified the European Commission that it is about to bring in "Stage II" controls on emissions of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) from petrol stations. Germany, Denmark, Sweden and Austria already have similar legislation in place, and the Dutch move will increase the pressure on the Commission to publish a long-awaited EC proposal on Stage II.
