Decline in dioxin intakes

Changes in food consumption habits have helped to reduce average dietary intakes of dioxins in the UK by around two-thirds since the early 1980s, according to a study by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (MAFF).1 Both average and high-level intakes of dioxins are now well within internationally recommended guidelines.
