Global warming debate hots up in refrigeration industry
The global warming impacts of competing refrigeration technologies continue to be hotly disputed, but developments over the next few months should shed new light on their performance. An industry group has been set up to develop a standard method of calculating the overall warming impacts of alternative systems, while Sainsbury's and Tesco are gathering data for two different refrigeration technologies in new supermarkets. Meanwhile, Calor is preparing a new push for hydrocarbon refrigerants.
