Environmental managers' poor grasp of sustainable development

Few of the UK's environmental managers appear to have a sound appreciation of what sustainable development means for their businesses. The Institute of Environmental Managers (IEM), which has drawn that conclusion from its first batch of applicants for associate membership, has responded by urging educational establishments and trainers to sign up to a new scheme designed to raise the level of competence among environmental practitioners.
