New noise rules for motorbikes and railways

An Act enabling the Government to ban the supply of noisy replacement silencers and exhausts for motorbikes has finally been brought into effect eight years after it was passed.1 New rules have also been introduced over the summer to provide noise insulation for properties affected by new or extended railway lines and tramways.2
