Challenge to "secrecy" in LAAPC standard-setting

The transparency of procedures to set standards for processes under local authority air pollution control (LAAPC) has been spotlighted by a complaint to the Parliamentary Ombudsman which has forced the Department of the Environment (DoE) to disclose the membership of working parties dealing with 78 industry sectors.
