Controversial report on air pollution and asthma

A report by the Department of Health's Committee on the Medical Effects of Air Pollutants (COMEAP) has concluded that outdoor air pollution does not cause asthma.1 But its controversial conclusion that pollution triggers clinically significant effects in only a small proportion of asthmatics does not agree with the daily experience of many sufferers, and may reflect under-reporting of their symptoms.
