Clinical waste operator wins incinerator appeal

An appeal against a local authority's failure to authorise a new clinical waste incinerator in Bournemouth has been upheld by the Environment Secretary. But the operator, Yorkshire Environmental, has been ordered to comply immediately with tougher emission limits for dioxins and other pollutants set earlier this year despite its pleas that this would be inequitable.
