Hidden air quality threat from ship unloading

An air pollution incident on Teesside has suggested that unregulated emissions from transportation of 1,3-butadiene may threaten the attainment of a proposed air quality standard (AQS) for the chemical. The Department of the Environment (DoE) is now considering the need to bring such sources under regulatory control.
