Little change in effluent policy after Worcester incident

"No fundamental change" is to be made by Severn Trent Water to its trade effluent policy following an incident in which a discharge to its sewers contaminated the drinking water supplies of 140,000 people. The company feels that only minor policy changes are possible without making the system unworkable for business.
