Clinical waste cowboys put duty of care to the test
Over 200 tonnes of ageing, high-risk clinical waste has been found dumped in a warehouse and lorry trailers at two sites in Hertfordshire - leaving the local authority with a £250,000 clean-up bill. The case has raised serious doubts about the effectiveness of the "duty of care" controls.
