ICI's "foreseeable" ammonia leak

ICI Chemicals and Polymers has been fined £2,000 for an ammonia leak from its Severnside works near Bristol. The company's mitigating plea that the incident had not been foreseeable was dismissed after Bristol Crown Court heard that it was caused by faulty instructions to operators.
