MAFF studies show growing risk of phosphate pollution
Research sponsored by the Ministry of Agriculture (MAFF) has shown that the potential for water pollution from agricultural phosphorus inputs is increasing due to modern farming methods and rising phosphorus levels in soils. Research is now concentrating on management strategies to combat phosphorus losses.
