  • The hamburger chain McDonalds is to launch a polystyrene recycling scheme for in-store waste at 12 stores around Manchester, after a pilot scheme run at the National Garden Festival. The collected material will be transported to Linpac Plastic's polystyrene plant for recycling into products including Linpac's "Restore" range of egg cartons which incorporate recycled polystyrene in an inner layer.
