Gove confirms plans to ‘dispose of’ recyclable waste under no-deal Brexit

The environment secretary Michael Gove has confirmed that the Environment Agency (EA) has been assessing waste disposal capacity in the south-east “should waste that cannot be exported need to be disposed of” in the event of a no-deal Brexit. Gove also suggested that the EA would relax permits if stockpiling became necessary should additional custom checks cause severe delays on the roads to and from the UK’s ports. MORE
