UK recycling rate continues to flatline

The UK household recycling rate increased by just half a percentage point in 2017, according to data published today by DEFRA.

The UK household recycling rate increased by just half a percentage point in 2017, according to data published today by DEFRA.

The new figures show that in 2017 the household recycling rate was 45.7% in 2017, increasing from 45.2% in 2016, still some way from its EU target of 50% by 2020.
