The Environment Agency (EA) has launched the UK’s first auction for landowners to bid for money to carry out natural flood prevention on their land.

The online auction is being run in collaboration with NGO Farming and Wildlife Advisory Group SouthWest (FWAG SouthWest) and Catchment Sensitive Farming (CSF) - a partnership between DEFRA, the EA and Natural England that aims to improve water and air quality in high priority areas.
