Northumberland County Council has said it does not have the resource to take action on a historic landfill site that is strewing waste onto a beach.

Speaking to ITV News, Lynemouth councillor Liz Dunn said the local parish council receives many complaints about rubbish falling onto the beach, “and its just something that local residents really want to see cleared up. Many of the beaches along the coastline are in danger of erosion and all this stuff is coming out of this cliff now. There’s great safety concern about it.”
