Norwegian gas field pioneers large-scale CO2 disposal

The world's first large-scale project for the disposal of carbon dioxide will come on stream within two years with the development of a new gas field in the Norwegian sector of the North Sea. The £40 million project, which is driven by Norway's high carbon tax, will inject one million tonnes of captured CO2 into a deep aquifer each year.
