"Disappointing" start to eco-labelling scheme
Three months after Hoover gained the first EC eco-label for its "New Wave" washing machines, no other producers have applied for the label. The UK Ecolabelling Board (UKEB) is frustrated by the industry's lack of support for the scheme. And even Hoover is letting New Wave's environmental credentials take a back seat in a planned £2 million advertising campaign.
