HSBC: testing the waters for carbon neutrality

Banking group HSBC is the highest profile company so far to go "carbon-neutral". Along the way, it is facing questions on the credibility of green electricity tariffs and on voluntary credits for reducing emissions. It hopes the experience will pave the way for others - and help it become a major player in carbon markets and low carbon investment. Keith Allott reports
