High Court criticises council over IPPC permit for new glass works

A permit issued by Chester City Council for a major new glass works has been quashed by the High Court after a a rival manufacturer claimed that emissions from the plant were too high. The judge's ruling, if it survives an appeal, may have wider implications for environmental regulators.
