Biomass task force says heat obligation is 'unworkable'
Using biomass to generate heat is a highly attractive, but neglected, option to reduce carbon emissions, according to the Government's biomass task force.1 But the report rejects a renewable heat obligation – and instead calls for capital grants, measures to develop supply chains and leadership through public sector procurement.
