Nestlé tests the market for bioplastic packaging

Nestlé has become the first major food company to use a plant-based biodegradable plastic as a packaging material for a well-known brand, Dairy Box chocolates. The company claims that the material allows consumers to "help the environment" because it uses less energy than the PVC tray it has replaced and it can also be composted at home.
