Computer firms continue phase-out of brominated flame retardants
Global IT products supplier HP is to phase out the use of brominated flame retardants from the external casings of all new HP brand products by the end of 2006 – two years after rival Dell achieved a similar goal. Both companies are looking for alternatives to their last remaining use of BFRs – in printed circuit boards.
