Transport for London (TfL) has secured £8m in funding for 90 new hybrid buses from the second round of the Department for Transport’s green bus fund

Transport for London (TfL) has secured £8m in funding for 90 new hybrid buses from the second round of the Department for Transport’s green bus fund.

The £46m fund was set up in 2009 to help bus companies and councils introduce low-carbon vehicles into fleets (ENDS Report 414, p 14). TfL received £5m in the first round, which has funded 46 buses.
