The Environment Agency has confirmed there will be no baseline rise in the fees it charges under the environmental permitting regulations this financial year

The Environment Agency has confirmed there will be no baseline rise in the fees it charges under the environmental permitting regulations this financial year.1 But it has made several changes to the regime.

Four new standard permits have been introduced for composting, small metal recycling sites, small vehicle scrap yards and treating waste wood for recovery. Applying for these will cost £1,590, the same as most other standard permits for waste operations, mining or industrial installations.
