The House of Commons Environmental Audit Committee announced another inquiry into air quality

The House of Commons Environmental Audit Committee announced another inquiry into air quality on 11 May.

The move recognises the growing importance of the topic, particularly after the recent smog episode led London to exceed the annual allowance of days of high particulate (PM10) pollution (see p 19).

The MPs’ last investigation into air quality was published in March last year (ENDS Report 422,  p 5). They concluded government efforts were outdated and inadequate.
