Milk sector reports on quick wins for curbing environmental impacts

The dairy industry says it has delivered on some of its environmental promises, but take-up of anaerobic digestion has been disappointing.

The report monitors progress to 2010 on green goals set in the 2008 milk roadmap, a voluntary agreement between dairy farmers, processors and retailers brokered by the environment department (DEFRA).
