DEFRA wins appeal over pesticides rules

A judicial review of the government’s crop protection policies was overturned on appeal on 7 July (see pp 61-62 ). The original judgment, made at the High Court in November, found the government had not taken suitable action to protect residents and bystanders from pesticides during spraying (ENDS Report 407, pp 66-67 ).
